Doris Elizabeth Wood, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her home in Henryetta, at the age of 70. Doris was born on October 6, 1945 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Leman Godwin and Rosalee (Murray) Godwin. Doris grew up in Henryetta and attended Henryetta Public Schools. Doris worked for several years as a waitress before working in various nurse's aid capacities in several area nursing homes. Doris attended Silver Springs Baptist Church at Tiger Mountain. Doris was married to Kenneth Wood on September 25, 1972 and celebrated 43 years of marriage before her death. She loved to crochet and sew and she was an accomplished cook. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister and she will be missed by the many who knew and loved her. Doris is preceded in death by her mother and father and a grandson, Matthew Clingan. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wood of the home; by three daughters, Brenda Lee Clingan of Tulsa, Lisa Walker of Sapulpa and Debbie Sue Buck of Henryetta; two sisters, Francis Roberts of Dewar and Norma Titsworth of Tulsa; by grandchildren, Kryste Atkins & husband Mario, Andrew D. Britt, Dodge D. Britt, Haden Gene Buck, and Elizabeth Ann Cooper and husband Matt; great grandchildren, Kalel Low, Courtney Cudjo, Kristofer Parker, Brayden Parker, Brendan Parker, Maliah Atkins, Zackary Chunestudy, Nathan Chunestudy, Jacob Chunestudy, Kelsy Lee Shepherd, Kaylee Cooper, Athena Cooper, Annabelle Cooper and Jackson Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family and many good friends. Viewing for Doris will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from noon until 8:00pm at Integrity Funeral Service. A funeral service for Doris will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Gregg Joki officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
