James Vernon "Jimmy" Johnson, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 72. He was born August 30, 1944 in Hartshorne, OK to James T. Johnson & Norma Jean (VanMeter) Johnson.

Jimmy worked for 22 years at American Airlines. He was a hard worker and loved to study the Word Of God in depth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jean Johnson, one sister, Carolyn Sue Page and by his infant brother, James Thomas Johnson.

James is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Arline (Hickman) Johnson of the home,
daughter, S. Renee Hyght & husband Mark of Seguin, Texas,
son, James Robert Johnson & wife Kristy of Sperry, Oklahoma,
daughter, Amy Barnes & husband Jeremy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,
six grandchildren, Rachel Renee Yoder and husband Zach of Prior, Oklahoma,
Hailee Renee Mosier of Owasso, Oklahoma,
Bethany Arline Johnson of Sperry, Oklahoma,
Lora Lynn Johnson of Sperry,
James Michael Johnson of Broken Arrow,
and Colton Wayne Barnes of Broken Arrow,
one sister, Norma Louise (Bootsie) Sullivan of Weleetka, Oklahoma,
uncle, Carl VanMeter of Weleetka,
uncle Kenneth VanMeter of Henryetta,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 5-8pm, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Integrity Funeral Service (410 East Trudgeon St. Henryetta, Oklahoma)

Pallbearers will be Mark Hyght, Jeremy Barnes, Michael Johnson, Zach Yoder, Jerry David Page, and Ron Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rachel Renee Yoder, Hailee Renee Mosier, Bethany Arline Johnson, Lora Lynn Johnson, Lester Sullivan, James Page, Jason Page, John Page, and Colton Wayne Barnes.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00pm, at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta with Rev. Darin Haddox, officiating and Rev. Steve Rhoads, assisting. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
