Wanda Froman

1940 - 2021


Wanda (Kelly) Froman passed away Sunday, March 28th, 2021 in Tulsa at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie & Ester Kelly, baby brother William and baby sister Marie.

Wanda worked for Muscogee (Creek) Nation for over 30 plus years in various positions She worked in the dental clinic, then the housing department for several years. She reitred from the finance department.

She enjoyed working for the tribe and made many friends. She developed many lasting friendships with her co-workers. She developed many lasting friendships with her co-workers.

She enjoyed the outdoors whether it be working in her yard or going "crappie fishing". She loved all family gatherings and reunions with her Creek and Cherokee relatives. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and especially her great granddaughter, Valerie Rose.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayla Waller of Okmulgee;
Granddaughter, Gwen Waller of Okmulgee;
Great granddaughters, Kimberley & Valarie Rose of Okmulgee;
Three brothers, Earl Kelly of Dewar;
Leroy & wife Cindi of Topeka, Kansas,
Billy Dean Kelly of Kansas City;
Many nephews, 1 niece, and other relatives in both Creek and Cherokee tribes.

Her smiling face and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Prayers for the family during this difficult time.  I had the privilege of knowing Wanda and working with her for many years. Wanda was a blessing to many people. Wanda was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside! She will be truly missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

I grew up next door to this family and could not love them more. My grandparents were named Kelley. I remember Earl telling me he couldn't understand why their skin color was darker. We were family no matter. The vacant lot between our homes were our playground. You all will be in my heart forever. RIP, my friend.
