Vesta Lee Burgess

Vesta Lee Burgess was born April 17, 1941 in Lamont, California to Doyle & Clora Campbell. Vesta was born with a servant heart and a desire to serve God and others through Him. At the early age of ten, Vesta received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. While attending church in Weedpatch, Vesta met the love of her life, Jack Burgess. They were united in marriage on October 14, 1957 and welcomed two beautiful children, Philip DeWayne and Julia Elaine. Vesta followed her husband in the lifelong service of God in their evangelizing and ministry throughout many states.
Vesta's many talents and joys were baking numerous pies for church fundraisers, serving as a midwife, and spending as much time as she could with her children, grandchildren, family and in the service of others. Vesta affectionately earned the title "Aunt Teta" from her many nieces and nephews and that name became how everyone referred to her and followed her in love the rest of her days.

Vesta was preceded in death by her spouse, Jack Burgess, Parents, Doyle & Clora Campbell, Grandson Philip D. Burgess, Jr., Brothers Coy Lynn Campbell and Boots Campbell and Sister Rita Dawson.

Vesta is survived by her son Philip D. Burgess and wife Kim of Owasso, Oklahoma, daughter Julia E. Burgess of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren Nicole Burgess, Braden Burgess, Blake Burgess, Alyssa Mustin, Kaelyn Patch, Katie and Donovan Bonde, Derek and Sarah Close, and great grandchildren Beau and Brooks Close. Vesta is also survived by sister-in-law Patty Burgess of Norman, Oklahoma and spiritual daughter April Davies and her spouse Nathan and their children, Nanette Reed & Katrina Simental of Otis Orchard, WA.

Viewing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16th at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 17th, 2022 at Integrity Chapel with Sis. Judy Wainwright officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
