Verna Gene Goodner

Verna Gene Goodner, a resident of Henryetta, passed away at her home on Friday, January 7th, 2022 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 78. She was born Wednesday, July 21, 1943 in Henryetta, OK to Laverne Potter & Imogene (Luker) Potter.

She married the love of her life, William "Bill" Goodner on August 18, 1961 in Henryetta.

She was a member of the Henryetta VFW post 539.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Donna Gold, son-in-law, the late Tony Tolbert.

Verna is survived by her husband Bill Goodner of the home, son, John Goodner of Henryetta, son, Joseph Goodner & wife Teresa of South Jordan, Utah, daughter, Janet Goodner Tolbert of Eufaula, grandchildren; Austin Lee Goodner, Nicholas Lee Tolbert, Amanda Beth Goodner, Tyler William Goodner, and Matthew John Tolbert, siblings; Virginia Bezinque, Lavern Potter JR., and Jimmie Don Potter, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Mark Elam, officiating. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

The family has designated the Lions Club Christmas Basket as an appropriate charity to donate in honor of Verna's Memory
