Thomas Lee Rush

Thomas Lee (Tom) Rush, a resident of Henryetta went to his Heavenly reward Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 78. He was born October 3rd, 1941 in Tulsa to Noble T. Rush and Eileen (Sevra) Rush.

Tom married LaVena Jones December 15th, 1976 in Tulsa. Everyone knew Tom from his infectious smile and kind personality, a true man of his word and wonderful Christian. He was former Vice President of Oklahoma Credit Union League in Tulsa. Tom and LaVena moved to Henryetta in 1986 where he took the position of President and CEO of First Family Federal Credit Union until his retirement.

Tom was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Henryetta where he was very active in many capacities, but mostly music. Tom's love was playing the guitar for the church and groups. It's said that he always kept his guitar pick in his pocket in case he was somewhere with guitar so he could play it. Tom had been a part of many groups in the area, The Genesis Quartet, Tulsa Sound, Class Reunion Group, The Swinging Shadows, Jubilee Gospel Group, and he also played in the Lazy Boy Recliners Group.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Eileen Rush, one brother, Ted Rush, and a sister, Mary Jane Dalton.

He is survived by his wife LaVena of the home in Henryetta;
Two daughters, Kim Estes and husband Brad of Broken Arrow;
Karen Williams & husband Rodger of Broken Arrow;
Four grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Garrett Williams, Taylor Estes and Grayson Estes;
Two great grandchildren, Rush Taylor Estes and Wilson Kurt Ostrander;
Also by nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved church family.

Viewing for Tom will be from 6 - 8 pm Friday at Integrity Funeral Service. Due to restrictions of the Covid19 pandemic, viewing will be limited to no more than 10 (ten) people at any given time in Integrity Chapel.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
