Scott Richard Gillin, a devoted husband, loving father, and passionate educator, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024, at the age of 48 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 2, 1975, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Charles Russell and Clara Jean (Phifer) Gillin.

Scott attended Wilson schools and graduated from Wilson High School in 1993. Continuing his education, Scott pursued his passion for agriculture at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, setting the stage for his future dedication to the field.

On July 18, 1998, Scott married the love of his life, Cheryl Winters, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Their union was blessed with three daughters: Neecie, Aggie, and Kynzie Gillin, who became the center of his world. Scott's love for his family shone through in every aspect of his life, guiding him as a beacon of warmth and unwavering support.

In his professional life, Scott shaped minds as the Ag Teacher at Dustin Public School, where he instilled a love of learning and agriculture in his students. He also worked diligently as a water operator for McIntosh RWD #13, showcasing his multifaceted talents and his commitment to his community.

Passionate about working cattle, Scott was a dedicated and active member of the Beefmaster Breeders United (BBU) for many years. His enthusiasm for his interests and his industry was infectious, and he was well-regarded as a source of knowledge and innovation among his peers.

A true friend to all, Scott's passion, loving nature, and warm smile will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will continue to inspire and influence everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clara, and his brother, Brad Gillin. His legacy is lovingly carried on by his wife, Cheryl; his daughters, Neecie, Aggie, and Kynzie; his step-dad, David Lane; and his cherished family friends, Jeff and Margret Wingo and Joe Rose, all of Henryetta, Oklahoma.
