Phyllis Berniece Wasson, 90 of Weleetka, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in Weleetka, Oklahoma. Phyllis was born on October 24, 1933, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Melvin and Berniece (Patton) Roberts.
She met Dwight "Junior" Wasson in Lincoln while Dwight was stationed there with the Air Force. They married in York, Nebraska. In January of 1958, they moved, with their three oldest children, to the Wasson Family Farm South of Henryetta. Phyllis worked as a business office manager in the medical field.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Dwight in 1992, her parents and an infant sister.
She is survived by her daughter's; Deborah Childers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Cheryl and Bob Sisson, Oktaha, Oklahoma; Mary and Mike French, Mustang, Oklahoma; Laura and Greg Upshaw, Dewar, Oklahoma. Grandson's; Jeremy French, Mustang, Oklahoma; David and Paula Childers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Brian and Nicole Ballow, Littleton, Colorado; Dylan Upshaw, Dewar, Oklahoma; Chance and Ashton Upshaw, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Great granddaughters; Avery Ballow, Bloomfield, Colorado; Layne Ballow, Littleton, Colorado; Paizlee Upshaw, Dewar, Oklahoma; Eleanor Upshaw, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Great grandsons; Vonn Childers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Eann Childers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sister; Virginia Johnson, McCook, Nebraska; Sister-in-Law, Patricia Hodge, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing for Mrs. Wasson will be on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM with family present to receive friends from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Westlawn Cemetery with Reverend Victoria Bonet officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy French, David Childers, Brian Ballow, Dylan Upshaw, Chance Upshaw and Quinton Story.
