Patsy Nabors Obituary
Patsy Ann Bridgeford Nabors, a resident of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Friday, August 3, 2018 in McAlester at the age of 71. Pat was born on November 16, 1946 to Johnny Roberts and Thelma (Cox) Moffett.
Pat grew up in the Okemah, Oklahoma area and in California for several years. Following her high school years, Pat attended nursing school in Oklahoma City and became an LPN. She worked for several years for McBride Bone and Joint Hospital in Oklahoma City and for Beverly Home Health Services.
One of her passions was helping others with learning to read and write. She served as a Vista Volunteer in the Literacy Program for many years. She also worked with prisoners from the Lexington Correctional Facility as they entered the literacy program there. Pat was a longtime member of the Eastern Star. Pat was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother as she will be missed by her family and her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her step-father, Richard O. Liles; a son, J.P. Bridgeford; and her first husband, James Bridgeford.
Pat is survived by her son, John Daniel Bridgeford and wife Brenda Hawkes Bridgeford of Hartly, Delaware; a daughter, Lisa Dawn Green husband Pete of Oklahoma City; her life partner, Jake Nabors of McAlester, OK; a sister, Dorothy Weddinger of MIssouri; a daughter, Marcia
Sczepanski of Missouri; two grandchildren, Chalia Bridgeford and Rhian Bridgeford of Delaware; by other extended family and many good friends.
Following cremation, the family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta, Oklahoma.
