Norma Gaines Obituary
Norma Jean Gaines, a resident of Henryetta, passed away October 26, 2022 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 89. She was born July 9, 1933 in New Model, Oklahoma to Authur Richard Rose & Violet (Lewis) Rose.
Norma married Truman Junior Gaines on March 12, 1954 in Snomac, Oklahoma and they made their home in Seminole County where they lived for many years before his passing. She was a member of the Hilltop Freewill Baptist in Wewoka, Oklahoma and was a department manager for Walmart retiring in 1987.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Joy Evans and Saundra Blevins, and brothers, Jeril Rose and James Rose.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Walden and husband Tim of Carson, Oklahoma and Linda Duncan of Henryetta, Oklahoma; one brother, Kenneth Rose of Bloomfield, New Mexico; one sister, Patsy Brown and husband Jerry of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Shayne Walden and wife April, Jared Walden and wife Marsha, Dana Duncan, Mathew Duncan and Starla Demings; great grandchildren, Delace, Conner, Callie, Baleigh, and Madison Walden. Also by a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Norma will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Reverend James Benedict officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Norma's grandsons, Tim Walden, Shayne Walden, Jared Walden, Mathew Duncan and Conner Walden.
