Mary Lois Robertson

September 29, 1939 — April 21, 2022

Mary Lois Robertson was born Mary Lois Patton on September 29th 1939 in Lequire Oklahoma to Albert and Leona Patton. She was the youngest of 6 children. She attended school first at Lequire and later at Dewar never completing. Despite her lack of formal education she loved to read and instilled that love into her daughters. She had four sons, three daughters and fourteen grandchildren. Mary lived most of her life in Henryetta, but had the opportunity to travel to many states in her life time having plenty of adventures, not all of them planned, She raised her children with love and perseverance teaching them strong values and a positive attitude. Much of her life she was a homemaker making plenty out of little. Later, when her children were older she became a healthcare worker where she worked until retirement. Even after retirement she continued to stay busy caring for her youngest son, Patrick and being an impromptu baby sitter for her grandchildren. In 2018 she had a life changing event when she broke her hip and entered long-term care. In the past three years her home was at Southern Hills Nursing Home in Tulsa. There she told us she found her second chance to live. She was very involved in the social events at her new home, making many friends of the residents and staff. She was very proud to be elected first the Vice-President of Resident Council and most recently the President. She loved Bingo and winning prizes that she could gift to her children and grandchildren or even her friends at the facility. She loved giving. She was faithful to the church services and Bible Studies at Southern Hills and especially loved all the events involving music.

She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Leona Patton, by her brothers, Floyd and Howard Patton, her sisters, Marie Bush, Jean Cloud, and Helen Lowry and her oldest son, Paul Albert Trunk (Sonny) as well as several nephews and nieces who she cherished.

She is survived by her children Bruce and Kim Trunk of Stillwater as well as their children, Brad, Dewayne, Steven and Shelby; Monty Trunk of Henryetta and his children, Allen and David, Pamela and Raymond Boone of Kiefer and their children Caleb and Skylar, Lina Bryant of Henryetta and her children, Zack, Summer and Charlie, and Monica and Tim Hight of Oklahoma City and their children, Jasmine, Brooklyn and William, and Patrick Robertson. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
