Linda G Sains

Linda Gayle (Gathright) Sains, age 81, a resident of Rockport, Texas passed away on July 17, 2023 in Rockport, Texas. Linda was born on December 18, 1941 in Fort Worth, Texas to William Frank Gathright and Lena Nelldean (Duck) Gathright. She graduated from Aransas Pass Texas High School with the class of 1960.

Linda was a Registered Nurse doing primarily Emergency Room and Neo-Natal nursing for over 25 years. However as she loved to travel she founded a travel agency in 1995 and was therefore happily able to travel over the years to 93 countries. She especially loved river cruising in Europe during the Christmas Market seasons but her most favorite and memorable trip was to Israel.

From an early age Linda was interested in music and became accomplished on several instruments including accordion, clarinet, piano, and organ. She very much enjoyed playing and listening to the old hymns and collecting sheet music of the same. Linda was taken to church the first Sunday after her birth and remained active in Baptist Churches wherever she lived. She was lastly a member of First Baptist Church in Rockport, Texas. She loved cooking and had an extensive collection of cookbooks and spices from around the world.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Wayne; a sister Bonnie Schnieppe; and a nephew Tim Schnieppe.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert Dale Sains of Rockport, Texas; four children: William Frank Sains of Honolulu, Hawaii; Rhonda Lanell Vancleve of Rockwall, Texas; Jana Leah Sains of Greenville, South Carolina; and Steven Dale Sains of Raleigh, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Viewing for Linda will be on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Integrity Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ryan Wells officiating. Burial will follow the service at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
