Linda Gail Denton

Linda Denton of Henryetta, OK passed away on June 29th 2020. Linda was born January 26, 1955 In New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was born to the parents Quay and Yolanda Johnson. Soon after her birth she became a big sister to her brother Dennis Johnson. The two were raised in Highland Park, New Jersey by their parents. Many of the memories Linda shared of her childhood were of large family gatherings and holiday celebrations with her family and all the cousins, aunts, and uncles of all the many wonderful times they shared. Linda attended Highland Park high school where she graduated with honors in 1973. During this time Linda was able to travel abroad to explore the French culture which she so truly loved upon returning home she set out and traveled cross country on motorcycle with her friends. After high school Linda met and married Joseph Johnson of New Jersey welcoming their first child Yolanda Denton into the world. Linda worked many jobs including her position as a warehouse manager of Bradlees. A few years later Linda welcomed her second child Tiffany Becerra Hernandez with her second husband Juan Hernandez of New Jersey. Linda enjoyed raising her girls and spending time with family and friends. In the late 90’s Linda and her family moved to Oklahoma where she married her present husband Donald Denton. Linda decided to start a new adventure opening her own childcare center which she ran for 20 years helping raise dozens of children. Linda had many hobbies including quilt making, needle point, canning and making her own jams. Linda enjoyed more than anything day trips with her family, a good Yankees game and big family gatherings with good food, games and cards, and lots of laughs.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Quay and Yolanda Johnson, first husband Joseph Johnson and second husband Juan Hernandez.

Linda is survived by her husband Donald Denton of Henryetta, OK. Brother Dennis Johnson and wife Mina of Ontario, Canada. Her daughters Yolanda Denton of Henryetta and Tiffany Becerra Hernandez and husband Javier of Henryetta. Her grandchildren Elizabeth, Jenifer, Christopher, Emily, Anabelle and Ariana and her great grandson Ryker.


Linda’s memorial service will be held August 15th, 2020 at 11:00am at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta, OK.
