Kenneth James Marshall

Kenneth James Marshall, a resident of Okemah, formerly of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Shawnee, OK at the age of 83. He was born January 26, 1937to Thomas Edmond Marshall & Gladys (Williams) Marshall.

Kenneth James (KJ) Marshall was born via midwife in the Schulter area after which he and his family moved to Henryetta, Hitchita, Spelter City, and then settled in the Wilson area. He attended Henryetta schools but joined the Air Force on May 1st, 1955 obtaining his GED. After basic training he was stationed at Suffolk County AFB, New York where he met and married the “love of his life,” Elizabeth “Betty” Nowicki and had his first daughter. He then was stationed at Topeka, KS having two more daughters. His Air Force career then took him to Grand Forks, NJ, Spokane, WA, Scott AFB, IL, a 4 year stay at Lajaw Field, Azores, and finally Colorado Springs, CO where he retired on October 31, 1975. He moved back to Henryetta working at Anchor Glass until beginning his 2nd career with the Civil Service at Tinker AFB in 1977. After 21 years of marriage, he lost Betty in 1978. He then met and married Delois Porter moving to Oklahoma City. During this time, he also had a stepdaughter and adopted son. After 38 years of marriage, he lost Delois in 2016, at which time he bought a house in Okemah with his daughter, Cindy, to be closer to his other daughters and family. He loved to fish, camp, hunt, ride motorcycles, and especially play golf, eat steak (T-Bone) and catfish. He was an exceptional husband and a stern but loving father. He will be sorely missed.

He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Air Force. He served for over 20 years in the Air Force and then over 20 years in civil service.

Kenneth was a member of the Okemah United Pentecostal Church and also the VFW.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Kathy Natwick of Okemah, daughter, Cindy Rocha of Okemah, daughter, Sherri Henderson & husband Timmy of Schulter, and son, Jason Marshall of Oklahoma City, stepdaughter, Felicia Porter of Dallas, Texas, grandchildren; Kenny Ray Rocha of Cromwell, Allen Rocha & wife Angela of Okemah, Timothy Henderson & wife Carrie of Henryetta, Matthew Henderson of Schulter, and Nick Henderson of Schulter, two step grandchildren; Brian Henderson of Henryetta and Christopher (C.J.) Henderson of Henryetta, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way, sister, Wilma Moore of Illinois, sister, Joyce Wallard from Missouri, sister, Glenda Haney & husband Bill of Mustang, Oklahoma, brother, Joe Marshall of Wilson, sister, Janet Meadows of Schulter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was dearly loved by his children and grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 2-8PM on Monday, January 4, 2021 and from 8AM - 12PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 5, 20201 at 2:00 PM at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta. Services will be live-streamed from Kenneth's obituary page on www.integrityfuneralservice.com.
