Obituary

Keith Dennis Carson, lovingly known by many as "Keeter", passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023, in Council Hill, Oklahoma. Born on November 6, 1960, in Bakersfield, California, to Garley Wesley and Louise (Ashing) Carson, Keith lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness.

Keith was a devoted husband to Sherell Carson, whom he married on December 17, 2010, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Keith spent many years working as a driver, a profession that suited his love for the open road. He also dedicated his time and skills to KATTS Transportation, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. His work ethic was admired by his colleagues and will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of working with him.

Keith was a man of many interests, each reflecting his love for life and his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, activities that allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature. He was a master of BBQs and cookouts, always ready to light up the grill and gather his family and friends around a bonfire, loved taking the "yrt" road. Keith was a fan of NASCAR and football, But above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Keith was a man of great character, best described as loving, kind, and funny. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had a knack for making everyone around him laugh. He was always there to lend a listening ear and help out anyone who needed it. His kindness and respect for others were evident in his everyday actions and will be remembered by all who knew him.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, John, and a nephew, Mike. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will miss his laughter, his wisdom, and his unwavering love.

Keith is survived by his wife, Sherell, Carson, of Council Hill, Oklahoma, children, Miles Carson of Tennessee, Ranell Poorman and his wife Phelicia of Wainwright, Oklahoma, Joseph Poorman and his wife Nikita of Council Hill, Oklahoma, Brittney Poorman and Buck of Mississippi, and Elizabeth Poorman and James of Wainwright, Oklahoma. He was a doting grandfather to Allen, Victoria, Jayzer, Landon, Whitney, Makyra, Rylin, Cooper, Mirick, Pasley, Khloe Idris, Anaiah, Hendrix, Harris, and Talon (Little Carson), and his companion Lego. Keith was a beloved brother to Pauline, Barbara, Myrtle, and Sonny, and a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

At the request of Keith, no services will be held. Keith's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and laughter. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding them of the importance of family, the joy of laughter, and the value of kindness. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life, remembering the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the kindness he showed to all. Keith Dennis Carson, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, will be deeply missed.
