Jimmie "Jay" Van Matthews, Jr.

Jimmie "Jay" Van Matthews Jr., a resident of Henryetta, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 46. He was born December 2, 1975 in Tulsa, OK to Jimmy Van Matthews Sr. & Carolyn Sue (Dodge) Matthews.

Jay married Tara Rice on September 27, 1996 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Dewar, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his grandparent; Skip & Tommie Matthews, and Connie & Gladys Dodge.

Jay is survived by his wife, Tara Matthews of the home, son, Bradley Sims & wife Danika of Henryetta, daughter, Taci Hamilton & husband Tyler of Mesa, Arizona, daughter, Jaylyn Matthews of the home, grandson, Rinley Sims of Henryetta, parents, Jimmie & Sue Matthews of Henryetta, sister, Amy Norman & husband James of Grove, Oklahoma, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family, and friends.

Viewing will be from 5-8 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, May 30, 2022 at the United Pentecostal Church in Dewar, Oklahoma with Rev. Matthew Martin, officiating. Services have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service.
