Janet Martin Obituary
Janet Lynn Martin passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Tulsa Oklahoma at the age of 83. She was born on July 17, 1939, in Union City, Pennsylvania. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to many.
At an early age Janet moved with her family to Tucson, Arizona, where she graduated from Tucson High School. Janet also met her first husband Ed Burnett in Tucson. Janet and Ed started a family and moved to Oklahoma.
Janet worked for Petrolite Corporation in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 28 years before she retired. Janet loved to garden, read, watch football, square dance and travel, among other things.
Later in life, Janet met and fell in love with Ewing "Nub" Martin. Janet and Nub married in 2001.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Ewing "Nub" Martin, parents Erwin and Dorothy (Church) Waite, and brothers Lewis Waite and Gene Waite.
Janet is survived by her daughter Valerie Galvan, grandson Stephen McBane and wife Jessica, great grandsons Tyler McBane, Shayne Leak and great granddaughter Addison Leak, grandson Spencer Thompson and wife Brandy, great granddaughter Belle Thompson and great grandson Allen Thompson; son Eddie Burnett and wife Dayna, grandson Michael Burnett, grandson Matthew Burnett and wife Savannah, and granddaughter Meghan Burnett Foster and husband Jared Foster.
Janet's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love shared by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
