Dorothalee Opal "Dorothy" Thompson, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on March 10, 2024, in Henryetta, OK at the age of 100. She was born February 24, 1924, in Peters Prairie, OK to Leo Harvey Drake & Cleone Christine Cricket (Cadwallader) Drake.

She married Freddie Robert Thompson on March 10, 1944, in Wellington, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband Freddie Robert Thompson; son, Freddie Thompson Jr., daughter-in-law, Dina Akins Thompson, son-in-law, Eddy Cunningham; two grandchildren, Ronnie Logan and Gabriel Caron; her parents, Leo Harvey Drake, Cleone Christine Cricket Drake, and stepmother, Emma Thompson; siblings, Ella Mae Fields, Harvey Drake, and stepsister, Alma Corder.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Vaughn & husband Pat of Henryetta, OK, Carolyn Cunningham of Henryetta, and Gail Stehwein & husband Bobby of Henryetta, OK; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She was a mother to many over the years, filling the role of caregiver, and was always rooting for the underdog. She was humble, selfless, and was a member of the women's American Legion auxiliary. She helped with the election board at Wilson school. She was a devout Wilson Tiger to all of her grandchildren. She loved basketball. She was a pretty good shot herself. The grandkids were amazed. In earlier years, family dinners were spent at her house on Sunday,s eating roast and mashed potatoes. Unknowingly She was always putting a plate back for someone just in case there wasn't anything left. She took care of her friends that were dying of cancer. She consoled her elderly friends at their bedside. At Church dinners she made the best, sweet potatoes, she loved double scoops of ice cream. She was loved by many.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family.

A private interment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas with her beloved Freddie.
