Billy Milligan Obituary

Billy Joe (Bill) Milligan, longtime resident of the Wilson Community, passed away from this earth Sunday, April 19, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 92. He was born October 18, 1927 in Henryetta to William Milligan and Myrtle (Smith) Milligan.
Bill attended Wilson school until his Senior year. Bill married Norma Jean Pocky January 23, 1970. He was a beloved husband, father, Papa, friend and worthy horseshoe pitching opponent. He was a longtime employee of CE Natco and retired from OSUIT from the ground maintenance department. He loved watching professional baseball and enjoyed many years of coaching Milligan’s All-Stars, a men’s softball team. He also loved to pitch horseshoes and organized an annual horseshoe pitching tournament for the Henryetta Labor Day activities for many years. He also took up golf and playing dominoes with his buddies after retirement. Bill was a member of the First Christian Church in Henryetta.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Myrtle Milligan, three sisters, Stella Lawson, Zadia Shipman and Opal Randleman, one brother, Kenneth Milligan.
He is survived by: his wife Norma of the home; three daughters, Kaye Bull and husband Dave of Clearwater, Florida; Janine Hart and husband David of the Wilson community; and Billie Jean Been and husband Kerry of Dewar; three sons, Lynn Wegley and wife Teri of Tulsa; Wesley Wegley and wife Mary of Tulsa; and Donald Wegley of Spavinaw;
Fifteen grandchildren: David Wegley, Brian Wegley, Charles Garven, Misti Ryan, Dwayne Wegley, Alicia Riggs, Kalee Baxter, Chelsea Been, Diamond Wegley, Blake Wegley, Sam Marcum, Chris Tregellas, Tori Greaves, Adrianne Hart, and Heather Hall and 25 great-grandchildren.
