Vivian Patricia Shumway

July 18, 1960 — March 23, 2026

Vivian Patricia Shumway left this world on March 23, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to be with the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that touched all who knew her. Vivian passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Vivian was born July 18, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio and raised primarily in Toledo and Perrysburg, Ohio. She later met the love of her life, Jack Weimer, and moved to Dewar, Oklahoma in 1988 to build a life alongside him. They were united in marriage by the late Reverend Jack Vance.

After coming to Dewar, Vivian became a proud member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 112 and worked alongside Jack in the challenging field of pipelining. Throughout her career, she always demonstrated strength, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. After Jack's retirement, Vivian continued pipelining, serving as an on-site supervisor over the NDT crew until her retirement in 2025. Her work ethic and dedication were an inspiration to many.

Vivian's home church was the Wilson Community Baptist Church in Morris. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through good times and bad.

Vivian's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Weimer, as well as her parents and brother. She is survived by her sister Marti (Jeff) Fedak; nephews Mark (Chelsie) Fedak and Joseph Fedak ; great nephew, Jet; and cherished friends, Christi Tedlock, and Tiffany and Tina Withrow, all of whom held a very special place in her heart.

A celebration of Vivian's life will be planned and announced at a later date, so that we may honor her memory, share stories, and find comfort in each other's company. Her remains will be cremated, and her ashes privately interred alongside Jack at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta.

As we mourn the loss of this wonderful woman, may we also remember the joy, love, and strength that Vivian brought into our lives.
