Thomas Lee "Tommy" Dickey, a lifetime resident of Dewar passed away Friday, July 5th at his home in Dewar. He was born July 12, 1953 in Henryetta to Merl and Mina Dickey. Tommy was a graduate of Dewar High School and later attended Oklahoma State University.
Tommy proudly served in the United States Army at the end of the Vietnam War.
Tommy retired from Anchor Glass Company in Henryetta. He was a mechanic on machines for the company. He was a longtime member of Dewar First Baptist Church and the GMP union.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Merl and Mina Dickey, a brother, Murl Dickey, and a sister, Linda Webb.
He is survived by his wife, Janna Vaughn of the home in Dewar; His children, Mark Dickey & wife Natalie of Hawaii; Michael Dickey of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Felicia McGowin & husband Chad of Dewar; Bradi Vaughn of Henryetta; Six grandchildren, Colt Taylor & wife Bethany of Dewar; Ashtyn Salsman & husband Jason of Okmulgee; Katlynn Ysaias & husband Jesus of Carthage, Missouri; Irelyn Dickey of Hawaii; Damon Dickey of Hawaii; Aubrie McGowin of Dewar; Hazel Sue Cox of Henryetta; Four great-grandchildren; Rowan Farrow of Dewar; Noel Ysaias of Carthage, Missouri; Mila Ysaias of Carthage, Missouri; Kaisyn Taylor of Dewar; Two sisters, Jackie Been of Tiger Mountain; Elaine Dickey of Dewar; Also by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10th, 2025 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
