Terry Jones Jr., age 57, passed away on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry his presence with them always.
Terry was born on December 22, 1968, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and a graduate of Okmulgee Christian Academy. He worked in property maintenance alongside his work wife of 14 years, Carleen Barrett, and was known for staying busy and taking care of what needed to be done. To his family, he was the one they could always count on-the go-to guy and family maintenance man who never hesitated to lend a hand, always showing up when he was needed most.
He is survived by his mother, Marianne Scott; his sister, Joanna Petree; his children, Aaron Jones and Tayia Jones; his grandchildren, Waylon Jones, Asher Jones, Diego Cook, Mahala Cook, Addison Niklas, and Zi'Ah Beaver; his wife, Elizabeth Taylor-Jones; and her children, Devon Taylor, Andrea Taylor, and Bethany Hogshooter.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lawanna Jones; his father, Terry Jones; his paternal grandparents, Elmer Jones and Mahaley Jones; and his maternal grandparents, James "Jimmy" Grayson and Pauline Grayson.
Terry was a man who lived life on his own terms. He enjoyed the simple things and especially loved spending time at the casino. He will be remembered for the life he lived and the memories he created along the way.
Though words often fall short, Terry's life will be remembered through the memories he created and the love he shared. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain with those who knew and loved him.
