SUE JEAN (HAGER) TURNBULL, March 5, 1954 - August 1, 2026

Sue Jean Turnbull, 72, passed away peacefully at Okmulgee's Muskogee Nation Medical Center early Saturday morning.

Susie was born in Morris, Ok, the first child of Norman Kenneth Hager and Nina Marie (Collins) Hager. Raised in Morris, Susie graduated with Morris High School's class of 1972. Susie and her husband of 52 and a half years met in early 1973 and she and David Turnbull were married November 15th of that year. To their marriage was born their only, and very special child, Davy, to whom Susie was a dedicated and most loving mother, teacher, and best friend. She gained many close, loyal, and long-lasting friendships in high school, in her career fields and in her favorite pastime, bowling.

She was preceded in death by her father Norman Hager, grandparents Robert Hager and Mattie Ann (Kries) Hager, and William C. Collins and Jewell P. (Hill) Collins; nine uncles, four aunts, 5 cousins, a sister-in-law, and step-father Burl Overmon.

Sue Jean leaves behind her loving husband David and son Davy in Okmulgee, mother Nina Marie Overmon of Checotah, OK, brother N. Kenny Hager of Morris; cousins, aunts, two sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

The family expresses their profound gratitude to the staff of Woodlands Skilled Nursing unit during Susie's brief stay, and especially to the doctor, nurses and medical staff of 2 West at the Muskogee Nation Hospital for their medical professionalism, and the most compassionate care and attention given to Susie and her family.

Final arrangements for Sue Jean are being provided by Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.

Her final resting place will be in the Morris City Cemetery, Morris, OK
