Stella Louise Cheatwood passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Okmulgee at the age of 84. She was born on February 17, 1942, in Quinton, Oklahoma, to Clifford C. Gulley and Dessie Gulley Beard.
Louise dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a kind and compassionate woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved painting on canvas and china, tending to her flowers, plants, and vegetable gardens, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoyed traveling and making memories with family and friends.
More than anything, Louise cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and kindness touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carol Jean Crosby; her brother, Billy Joe Gulley; and her brothers-in-law, Billy Teafatiller and Davy Duke.
Louise is survived by her son, Curtis Dale Crosby and wife Julie of Hitchita; her daughter, Beverly Diane Crosby Dudley of Hitchita; her grandchildren, Danny Crosby, Derrick Crosby and wife Amber, Adam Rempe and wife Tori; her great-grandchildren, Lily Nicole Crosby, Shae Crosby, Ayden, Tyler Rempe, and Hannah Rempe; her great-great-grandson, Tobias Rempe; her sisters, Barbara Teafatiller and Kay Duke; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Viewing will be from 3-5 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Integrity Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Integrity Chapel with Wesley VanMeter officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Louise's honor.
Louise will be remembered for her caring heart, creative spirit, love of family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
