Shirley Ann Fry

Shirley Ann Fry, 77, a resident of Dewar, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 in Dewar, Oklahoma. Born September 3rd, 1945, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Hattie Mae (Carrell) and John Clyde Evans.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Monty Evans and Robert Evans, sisters, Clara Thurman and Edna Evans and nephew Lloyd Dale Strawn

Shirley was a proud graduate of Dewar High School and would marry her sweetheart Eugene. They moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where she worked for Texas Instruments, and later upon moving back to Henryetta as a Quality Control Tech for Ball Brothers Glass Plant in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Shirley retired after 22 years of service where she was known for her hard work, and dedication.

Shirley was a woman of many interests and talents. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, where she tended both her flower and vegetable gardens. Her love for cooking was well known to her family, always greeting guests at the door with the question, "What do you guys want to do for dinner?" A Thanksgiving request and family favorite was Shirley's broccoli rice casserole, which will be fondly remembered.

Special times for Shirley included shopping trips to Sam's Club, which often turned into excursions to Goodwill, where she would do the real shopping for roosters to add to her ever-growing collection. Shirley loved finding treasures in the most unexpected places.

Shirley was a Christian woman, devoted to her family and was known for her gentle nature, wise counsel, and her ability to fix just about anything. Shirley was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Eugene, of the home; her daughter, Stacey, and husband, John, of Coalton, Oklahoma, her sons, Buck Fry of Dewar, Oklahoma, and Jason Fry of Henryetta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kevin Settlemyre and wife, Brittney, of Coalton, Oklahoma, Kyle Settlemyre of Coalton, Oklahoma, Bethany Fry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Blake Fry and Gabriel Fry of Dewar, Oklahoma; Kasidy Fry of Henryetta, Oklahoma, two great-grandchildren, Kooper and Oaklie Settlemyre of Coalton, Oklahoma; her brothers, Claude Evans of Wichita, Kansas, and Sonny Evans of Fort Worth, Texas; her sisters, Eloise Poindexter of Salem, Missouri, and Elenore Scott of Alma, Arkansas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Those serving as pallbearers: John Kyle Settlemyre, Kevin Settlemyre, Buck Fry, Jason Fry, Blake Fry, Gabriel Fry and John Settlemyre

Visitation is scheduled for 3:00PM to 8PM, Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at 10:00AM at Integrity Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Interment to follow at Council Hill Cemetery, Council Hill, Oklahoma
