It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished Nana, Shirley Jean Brown (maiden name: Mozingo), a woman whose life radiated kindness, wisdom, compassion, strength, and an enduring legacy of love. Although she passed away several years after the love of her life, she was never truly alone as she was surrounded by the love she had spent a lifetime nurturing - the love of her child, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her late husband, Tommy Brown, who she now joins once more. Leaving behind a world that was made brighter by her presence.

Shirley Jean was born to Beedie and Joseph, on November 1st, 1945, in a time of resilience and strength, our Nana embodied the virtues of her generation. Her early years were marked by curiosity and a passion for learning. She was born in Chickasaw Hospital in Chickasaw, Oklahoma. In 1957 her family moved to Turley, OK and she went to Minco Elementary School & Hamilton Junior High. She went on to Will Rogers High School and although she dropped out getting her GED, she went on to complete LPN nursing school. This is where first nurtured her appreciation for life's simple, yet profound joys-family meals, evenings by the fireplace, her love for cooking through her handwritten recipes, and the beauty of nature including her garden.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Kenneth Waldon, her children Randall (Randy) Faddis & Kathy Satawake, her grandchildren Eric Faddis, Matthew Faddis, & Katie Valle-Henley, & her great-grandchildren Aryiel, Roman, Sophia & Mia.

We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating her incredible journey. A
