Sherry Ruth Murphy was born January 5th 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Junior and Florine Biggs of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She joined both of our dads in heaven on September 9th, 2021 in Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 65.
She loved to go to the casino and also loved to go fishing, paint and draw. She loved her Native American heritage and was a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation. Sherry always wanted to go to a pow-wow and now we can say that she is having a pow-wow in the sky enjoying time with her loved ones that have already gone on before her.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Emanuel Murphy, Jr. and second husband Urbie Rodgers, brother, Ronald Biggs and her grandmother, Violet Jones.
Those left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Angie Kovacs and Jessi Murphy, a granddaughter, Stormi Kovacs and by her beloved dog "Bubba".
A memorial service to honor the life of Sherry will be held outside at Nichols Park, south of Henryetta on Thursday, September 16th, 2021 at 10 AM. Brother Marcus Whitworth will say a few words and sing a few of Sherry's favorite songs. To honor her native heritage, there will be a native from the Muscogee Creek Tribe dancing and playing the flute. The family urges everyone to attend who knew Sherry or her family, they all need your support. Angie and Jessi will also give a joint eulogy. Please come with your stories of Sherry, good or ornery, we all knew she was REAL ornery. Bring your lawn chairs if you need to sit, the service will last a couple of hours.
Cremation services have been entrusted to the Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta, Oklahoma.
