Obituary

Sherri Ann (Lane) Brown, 64, passed away on October 2, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sherri was raised in Del City and graduated from Checotah High School. Throughout her life, she called Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Katy, Texas, home, building lifelong friendships and making countless memories along the way.

While her 64 years were far too few, Sherri made the most of every one of them. She lived a full life, filled with family, incredible friendships, laughter, and plenty of adventures. She and her husband of 45 years, Jack, shared a lifetime of memories, always dreaming up their next trip, adventure, or project. Sherri was the planner behind it all, although she made sure to let Jack think he was the boss.

Sherri had a gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. She collected friends everywhere she went, and those friendships became one of the greatest joys of her life. She loved flowers, plants, cooking, hosting holiday gatherings, and decorating for Christmas. Her love of Christmas was especially evident in her decorations, with a Christmas tree in nearly every room of the house, including the bathroom! She also appreciated a good drive-thru and had a special place in her heart for Rottweilers, especially her beloved Astro.

More than anything, Sherri loved her people. Her eight grandchildren held an especially sweet place in her heart, and being their Grandma was one of the greatest joys of her life. She loved watching them grow and making memories with them whenever she could. She was stubborn, determined, generous with her love, and always ready for another adventure. She leaves behind a remarkable community of family and friends whose lives are better because she was part of them. Her life was a beautiful reminder that it's not the number of years we're given, but how much life we fill those years with.

Sherri is survived by her husband, Jack Brown; her children, Ashley Brown, Laura England and her husband, Brandon, Tyler Brown and his wife, Darby; and her eight grandchildren, Connor Brown; Payten, Caileigh, Colton, and Preslee England; James "JP," Matthew, and Adaleigh "Addie" Brown. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Lane, and his wife, Angie; her beloved Rottweiler, Astro; and a wonderful circle of friends who became family throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Huey" and Rose Zella Lane.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Home in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial in Council Hill, Oklahoma.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rickey Lawson, Craig Barber, Jose Colondres, Wes Hollis, Benny Durrett, and Calvin Latta. Sherri's grandsons, Colton England, Connor Brown, James "JP" Brown, and Matthew Brown, will serve as honorary pallbearers.
