Rita Lynne Casey, 75, of Morris, Oklahoma, passed away on May 21st, 2025, in Columbia City, Oregon. Born on April 7, 1950, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Shirl and Betty Davis, Rita lived a life filled with love, creativity, and generosity.
A proud graduate of Henryetta High School's Class of 1968, Rita played the trumpet in the school's renowned 100-piece marching band. She later attended OSU Tech, where she was honored as Miss Automotive in 1969. On November 26th, 1971, she married, Bill Casey, and together they built a home filled with love.
Rita was a devoted member of the Morris United Pentecostal Church and a beloved mother and grandmother. A skilled homemaker, talented cake baker, and passionate photographer, she pursued her love of photography later in life, earning her associate degree. Rita was known for her unwavering positivity, generous heart, and sweet nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
She found joy in sewing and road trips-where she was always behind the wheel. She loved Sonic hamburgers and Dr. Pepper with no ice. Rita's love for connection extended beyond her local community; through playing Farmtown, she built lasting friendships with people around the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Casey, and her parents, Shirl and Betty Davis.
Rita's legacy lives on through her daughter, Dawna Peters, and her husband, Colby; grandchildren, Savanna and Evan Peters; sister, Norma Barnett; brother, Pete Davis, and his wife, Sunny; nieces, Amy Barnett and Darcy Hunter; and a loving extended family.
A memorial service celebrating Rita's life will take place on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Morris United Pentecostal Church at 608 W. Ozark, Morris, Oklahoma.
