Patsy Jean Duncan

Patsy Jean Duncan, a longtime resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 87.

Patsy was born on October 30, 1938, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, to Aubrey R. Allen and Jessie Francis (Harrell) Allen. She dedicated much of her life to education, serving as a teacher who made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. On May 25, 1956, she married the love of her life, Hubert "Joe" Duncan, in Dewar, Oklahoma, and together they shared many years of love and devotion.

Outside of her career, Patsy enjoyed sewing and was especially known for her delicious recipes that brought family and friends together. She was passionate about teaching, but above all, she cherished her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering dedication to her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey R. Allen and Jessie Francis (Harrell) Allen.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Hubert "Joe" Duncan of the home; her son, Joe Allen Duncan and wife Debbie of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; her daughter, Cyndi A. Watkins and husband Pete of Yukon, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Johnny Duncan, Jason Duncan, Jake Duncan, Duncan Watkins, and Zack Watkins; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two great-great-grandchildren expected in the near future; and her sister, Betty A. Condren of Schulter, Oklahoma, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Patsy's legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
