Linda Bemore, 72, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away on February 18, 2026 in Okmulgee surrounded by her family.
Linda was born in Sacaton, Arizona to Wilson and Wanda King. She was the oldest of nine children, a role which she carried with pride her entire life. She shared a close bond with her brothers and sisters. She never missed the time to spend with them, check on them, and loved having family gatherings.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herbert "Frank" Bemore. Her parents Wilson and Wanda King, brothers Wilson King Jr, and Bobby King. Sister Christine Hicks, and a nephew Creighton Barnoski.
She is survived by two children, her son Travis King, and daughter Alicia and Merle Keesee. Seven grandchildren Zane, Kayden, Haiden, Hunter, Ryker, Brayden, and Lacey. They were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her sisters Joann Harjo, Dewaynea King, and Lisa and Clifford Sands. Brothers Allen King, Jimmy and Dana King, sister-in-law Karen King, and along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Linda was known for never sitting still. She loved going places, visiting, and meeting new people wherever she went. Whether it was a quick trip to town or a planned outing, she was always ready to get up and go. She especially loved cheering for OU sports faithfully watching football and softball games and cheering them on like it was personal.
She worked for many years for United States Postal service before retiring. Linda attended Connors State College, and East Central University, earning her bachelor's degree in business. This was an accomplishment she was very proud of, and an example she set for her family.
More than anything Linda loved her family. Being the eldest sibling shaped her into a lifelong helper and caretaker, and she carried that same love into motherhood and being a grandma. Her grandchildren knew they were always welcomed, supported, and always loved.
Linda will be remembered for her warm heart, her social spirit, and her ability to make people feel comfortable the moment they met her. Her presence brought people together, and her absence will be felt by all who knew her.
