Ledtkey Ronnie McIntosh was born May 30, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to John & Velva McIntosh. He passed from this earth on September 13, 2026 in Norman.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son & namesake, Ledtkey Ronnie McIntosh Jr, Ron; his parent1s; 6 brothers--John, Abe, Joe, Pete, David, & Richard; & one sister Wyvona.

His is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly; children-- Travis, Mat & Jennifer, & Nicole & Jason Harjo; daughter-in-law Melissa; 15 grandchildren -- Krystal, Tafa, Trey, Kaitlyn, Charis, Will, Aletheia, Haddon, Eden, Boyce, Tyndale, Piper, Jason Jr, Jocelyn, & Jade; one great grandson -- Fletcher; and 5 grandchildren-in-law --Adam, Kaylee, Eli, Gavin, & Zeke; and a host of nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Lit was a proud citizen of the Muskogee Creek tribe. Ledtkey is a name from the Muskogee language. He was named for an Uncle Ledtkey Richards.

He attended a one room school at Tiger Mt for 7 years then finished at Dewar High School. After high school graduation, he married Beverly Hammack. He graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State University with a BS in education.

Lit taught school and coached in Oklahoma and Texas.

From his early years, Lit felt like God wanted him to be a preacher. 1969 he surrendered to the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. For many years he was a bi-vocational pastor, teaching school while pastoring in primarily Native churches. In 1985 while teaching and coaching in White Deer, Tx, he permanently left the education field to be a full-time pastor.

For more than 54 years he faithfully pastored God's people in churches in Oklahoma and Texas. His longest pastorate was 20 years at Glorieta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. In 2005, Lit accepted the position under the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to be a national missionary to Native Americans. He worked with numerous tribes across the United States and Canada, endeavoring to plant new churches and strengthen existing ones. The last church he pastored was a new church start, Johnson Road Native Baptist Church in Purcell.

Aside from God and His church, Lit loved his family. His four children were and continue to be a blessing. He took time when his kids were growing up to be part of their daily lives. He was never ashamed to kiss them and say, "I love you." The crowning glory of grandchildren was his delight. He often said that he had no idea what the grands were talking and laughing about, but he sure loved to listen to them.

He was the spiritual leader of his big family. There will be a void left in each of their lives. But this family has a firm belief that all of them who are born again will join him in eternity. He never stopped praying that God save each of them and that God will raise up another preacher in this McIntosh family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, located at 507 E. Main St., in Moore, Oklahoma. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00pm, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Southern Hills Baptist Church, located at 8601 S. Pennsylvania Ave., in Oklahoma City. He will be laid to rest at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery, 1913 N. Porter Ave., in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.
