Keith Roger Palmer

Keith Roger Palmer, 84, a resident of of the Longtown/Eufaula area of Oklahoma, died October 12, 2026. He was born in Erie, ND, to Warren Palmer and Clarice (Moen) Palmer on September 29, 1942. Keith lived an adventurous youth helping on family farms in Minnesota and Manitoba, attended business college, and served in the US Army where he was stationed at bases in Texarkana, Korea, and other locations. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Wilma Jo.

Keith leaves behind sisters Leila Channing of Sycamore, IL, and Lorna Maxwell and husband John of Emporia, KS, and children Sheri and Smokey Freeman, Stephen Palmer, and Michael Palmer all of Henryetta, OK. He also leaves behind grandchildren Rayce Freeman, Katie (Freeman) Carroll, Tyger Freeman, Skyler Free Palmer, and acted as honorary Papa Keith to Shawnda (Reid) Wilson and Amberlee Reid. He also leaves behind great grandchildren Blue and Augie Carroll and Magnolia Freeman.

Keith worked a long career in glass plants and retired from Anchor Glass in Henryetta. There he met lifelong friends that I am certain he was happy to see again. Keith was generous, quick to laugh, and the the first to reach out to make a new friend.

Per his wishes there will be no formal services, but an informal gathering of friends and family will be announced at a later date.
