Jonas Wayne Lewis, a resident of Tucson, Arizona, passed away at the age of 70 years on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Banner Medical Center in Tucson. Wayne was born September 28, 1955, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Flora Marie (Holmes) Lewis and Bunny Lewis.

Wayne grew up in the Dustin and Hanna area. He attended school at both Dustin and Hanna. He left Dustin school after completing the 10th grade and went on to finish his high school years in Moore, Oklahoma, graduating from Moore High School in 1973.

After graduating high school Wayne became employed at Dillard's Dept. store in Oklahoma City. He was employed there for many years working in men's apparel and shoes. After moving to AZ he continued to work in retail sales. While living in AZ, he met Marilyn Olsen the love of his life. The two were married on August 19, 1988. They shared 37 wonderful years together.

Wayne loved sports and was an avid OU Sooners fan. While attending school at Hanna, he joined the boxing and wrestling team at an early age, which continued into his adult life. He met Oklahoma's own Sean O'Grady. Wayne competed in middle weight boxing matches while training with Sean.

Wayne was a devoted member of Goodness Family Church in Tucson where he and Marilyn attended. He loved serving the Lord and loved his church family. Wayne was a man who deeply loved his family and friends and the time spent with them. He treasured family gatherings and reunions, often sharing stories and reminiscing about cherished memories.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Flora and Bunny Lewis; Susan Groves, the mother of his son; two sisters, Phyllis Lewis and Lisa Lewis; two brothers, Paul Lewis and Randall Lewis; and brother-in-law Steven Hulstine, who he loved like a brother.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lewis of Tucson; son Jonas Wayne Lewis Jr. and Ivana of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister Nancy Hulstine of Wetumka; brother Freddie Lewis; two grandchildren Logan and Luka Lewis of Indiana; stepchildren Mike and Michelle Parker; nieces Misty Kenney of Sasakwa, OK, Tina Carter of Wetumka, OK, and Elisha Lynch of Lamar, OK; nephews TJ and Casey Carter of Wetumka, OK, Paul Eric Lewis of Wetumka, OK, and Chris Ryder of Wetumka, OK.

Great nephews include Keanon and Myka Giles of Piedmont, OK, Kody and Lana Giles of Holdenville, OK, Zachary (Budda) Williams of Wetumka, OK, Sebastian Williams of Florida, Trey and Easton Carter of Wetumka, OK, and Paul Eric Lewis Jr. (Spud) of Wetumka, OK.

Great nieces include Grace and Randy Baldwin of Yukon, OK, Bailey Williams and Jordin Fortin of Claremore, OK, Kolee Giles of Holdenville, OK, and Natalie Williams of Wetumka, OK.

Great-great nephews include Weston Baldwin, Lucca Fortin, Shooter and Riot Giles. Great-great nieces include Vanassa Lynch, Briar and Karysen Giles, and two on the way to be born in April and July.

He is also survived by many other relatives, brother-in-law Eric Olsen and sister-in-law Beckie Olsen.

Wayne will be remembered for his presence in the lives of those who knew him and for the love he shared with his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be his nephews: TJ Carter, Trey Carter, Keanon Giles, Kody Giles, Paul Eric Lewis Jr., and Zachary Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Easton Carter and Hokkolen McCulley.

Viewing will be from 2-5 PM on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Middle Creek 1 Indian Baptist Church 2817 N 389 Rd, Lamar, OK 74850.

Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
