Johnny Lee Murray

Johnny Lee Murray, born on October 12, 1946 to Henry Franklin Murray and Maggie (Perkins) Murray, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Johnny was a Marine Veteran who served from November 29, 1965 to November 28, 1969. He served in Vietnam from 1967-1969. he loved the Marine Corp and if he met another Marine Veteran they were automatically "Brother" or "Sister".

He was a member of Hanna First Baptist Church for 14 years. He loved his God more than his wife. Whatever the church needed, he was always willing to help however he could.

Johnny, married his wife, Dorene Kay on September 22, 1978 at Brighton, Colorado. He was a wonderful husband to Dorene and a great stepfather to Dorene's 4 children. He raised Dorene;s children as his own. To them he was "Daddy" and not a stepfather. He raised his family to love God and to be good Christian children. It hurt his feelings when they all left church. But he kept trying to get then back to church.

On December 24th, Dorene was taking Johnny to the ER at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee. He told his wife "Mamma, if I don't make it, I'm a "winner" either way" He was a "winner" on December 30, 2019. He went to meet his God, that he loved so much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters Sherry Ewert and Cynthia Hill, 7 brothers and 7 sisters

Johnny, left behind his wife, Dorene of the home, daughter Roseanna Thistlewood of Orlando, Florida. a son, Benjamin Hill of Limon, Colorado, his church family of Hanna Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest at Hanna Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, Johnny asked that all donations be sent to C.H.E.A.-PO Box 1, Haskell, OK 74436.

Viewing will be from 2-4 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2020 at Hanna First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Hanna Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
