In Loving Memory of John Royce Potter

Okmulgee, Oklahoma - John Royce Potter, age 58, passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday,
December 27, 2023, due to heart failure. Born on September 22, 1965, in Lincoln, Illinois, John's
journey was one marked by a profound love for life and the connections he built along the way.

John's early years in Lincoln, Illinois, laid the foundation for a life that embraced adventure and
meaningful relationships. The son of Kathleen Parker Potter and John Lewis Potter, John's parents
led him to explore schools and jobs in Texas and Oklahoma before finding his calling at Muscogee
Nation Duck Creek Casino in 2011. A dedicated worker and cherished colleague, John approached
his job with enthusiasm and commitment. His friendly attitude made him a beloved member of the
Duck Creek Casino family.

John's passions extended beyond the workplace. A lifelong fisherman, he cast his first line as a
young boy, finding solace and joy on the water. Sports, especially football, held a special place in his
heart, and he was an avid supporter of Oklahoma University football. His love for gaming found
expression in Xbox sessions with his son and brother, creating cherished memories of shared
laughter and camaraderie. He was often found sitting in his garden or shop checking his "gold" on
his phone game.

In 1997, he married the love of his life, Regina, in Branson, Missouri, marking the beginning of a
beautiful journey together. He found happiness in the company of his beloved WilFeral the pig, along
with other pets.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis Potter and Kathleen Potter Heath. He is
survived by his devoted wife Regina, son Nicolas Potter, stepson Justin Rhoads, stepdaughter
Heather Rhoads Campbell, stepmother Barbara Potter, sister Christine [Kenneth] Bolt, brother Guy
[Jody] Potter, mother-in-law Diane Dreessen, father-in-law Dwight [Angie] Stogner, brother-in-law
