John Junior Evans

John Junior Evans, a resident of Council Hill passed away Thursday, January 12th, 2023 in Council Hill at the age of 96. He was born November 6, 1926 in Picher, Oklahoma to William Charles Evans and Waulena (Smith) Evans.

He married Carolyn Elizabeth Mann February 6, 1960 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He retired from military police with the United States Military. He was a veteran of both WWII and Korean War, serving with both the Navy first, and then the Army. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge. John was an avid golfer, playing until his late 80's.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, sisters, Betty Delso & Margaret Snider, and a brother, Charles Evans.

He is survived by a son, Thomas Ed Mann of Henryetta;
Four grandchildren; a nephew John Delso of Schulter and a niece Betsy Griffin of Preston.

Viewing for John will be from 4-8pm Sunday at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 16th, 2023 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
