Jean Ann Jones, 76, a resident of Schulter, Oklahoma, passed away June 18th, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jean was born August 18th, 1948 in Woodbine, New Jersey to Dorothy (Fisher) and Samuel Frank Wimley.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents and brother Walter.
Jean was raised in South Jersey where she attended the local schools. After graduating she would meet her husband Emmett. They became companions before marrying in 1977. They were lifelong partners until her passing having been married over fifty years.
Jean was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, quilter, creative sewer and seamstress. She also repaired and designed jewelry. She volunteered at the Salvation Army store where she sorted, refurbished jewelry that was donated so that it could be sold to help others. Jean was known as "The Cat Lady", as she had cared for over two hundred cats during her lifetime. These cats had been abandoned, given or dropped off and so Jean took care of them. Jean loved to spend time with her family. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Jean is survived by her husband Emmett, of the home, daughter, Sabrina, who resides in Shawnee with Jeans two grandsons, Malachi and Sammy. Jean is also survived by eight remaining furbabies.
