Reverend George Kenneth Stacy affectionately known as Kenny, Dad, Papa, Brother, and Uncle passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 in Olive Branch, Mississippi at the age of 85. He was born September 14, 1940 in Pharoah, Oklahoma to Elmer and Mildred Stacy.
In 1960, he married the love of his life Barbara James who predeceased him by 4 years and 363 days.
On August 25, 1965 he received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name. He then answered the call to start two churches one in Fort Morgan, Colorado and the other in Seminole, Oklahoma. For almost 50 years he pastored four churches. He never wavered in his faith, his loving compassion for others, and his continuous desire for sharing biblical truth. His final pastoral leadership was Landmark Apostolic Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi where he became Bishop in 2022.
Rev. Stacy was a mechanic and painter for most of his life. He owned B&S Trucking for almost 20 years, beginning in 1996. He enjoyed attending church. Despite health issues his last wish was to attend church on his 85th birthday. He also enjoyed riding his trike motorcycle, caring for his horses, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Rev. Stacy will always be remembered for opening his home to many people, his love of God and his family, his kind heart, his work ethic which never faltered, and his everlasting wisdom.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara James Stacy, daughter Vickie Stacy McCall, grandson Anthony Gallina, great granddaughter Mia Johnson, parents Elmer and Mildred Stacy, brothers Tim Stacy, Leroy Stacy, and Jim Stacy, and sister Linda Stacy.
He is survived by his 4 children Wayne Stacy, Lorie Stacy Johnson and husband Mark, Georgia Stacy, and Linda Stacy Allison and husband Danny, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brothers Rev. Jerry Stacy and wife Deb, Clifford Stacy and wife Debbie, and sisters Louise Kempton, Kathy Booze and husband Gary, and June Lewis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brandon McCall, Chris Johnson, Blake Johnson, DJ Allison, Quinten Stacy, and Dylan Waltman.
Viewing will be from 5:00pm-8:00pm Friday October 3rd 2025 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Saturday October 4th 2025 at True Life Tabernacle in Bixby, Oklahoma with Reverand David Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery in Okemah, Oklahoma under the direction of Integrity Funeral Services.
