Gayle Lynn Wauters

Gayle Lynn Wauters, age 77, passed away on June 6, 2024 at her home in Blanchard, Oklahoma. She was born on June 18, 1946 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Sam and Angelline (Dirkiewis) Miller.

Gayle attended school at St. Michael Catholic School in Henryetta, Oklahoma and graduated in 1964. She later attended college at St. Gregory's in Shawnee, Oklahoma and later attended nursing school at St. Anthony College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she received her nursing degree to become a registered nurse. Gayle served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era being honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant.

Gayle married Brent Wauters on October 5, 1973 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where they worked and raised their family. They were members of St. Joseph Old Cathedral Catholic Church in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where they attended for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Angelline Miller.

Gayle is survived by her husband of fifty years, Brent Wauters of Blanchard, Oklahoma; sons, Todd Alan Wauters of Edmond, Oklahoma, Trevor Lane Wauters and wife Brandy of Mustang, Oklahoma and Trent Matthews Wauters and wife Daryn of New Castle, Oklahoma; sister, Sally Martin of New Braunfels, Texas; brother, Sam Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rylee Layne Wauters, Addalyn Faith Wauters, Copelin Louis Wauters, Aven Shea Wauters, Bishop Lane Wauters and Beau Ryan Wauters.

A Rosary will be held at the St. Joseph Old Cathedral Catholic Church, 307 N.W. 4th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73102 at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Memorial Mass will be held at the St. Joseph Old Cathedral Catholic Church, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 9:30 AM with Father Michael Wheelahan officiating. Inurnment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM with military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honors Team.
