Gary Edward Williams, a resident of Chandler, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. He was born on Sunday, August 31, 1947, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Edward and Oletha Williams.
Gary was a kind and loving father and a devoted husband. He married the love of his life, Pam (Ray) Williams, on August 26, 1966, in Wetumka, Oklahoma. They made their home and raised their family in Weleetka before moving to Chandler in 2014 to be closer to their children. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on family, faith, and hard work.
Throughout his life, Gary wore many hats. He raised cattle, coached little league, and worked for 32 years as a combination technician with Southwestern Bell, where he earned the nickname "The Phone Man" (despite being late his very first day on the job). He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and was set to receive his 50-year pin in January. Gary was also a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Weleetka, Oklahoma.
He loved spending time outdoors, especially riding his gator on his 40 acres in Weleetka and fishing on Lake Eufaula with his brother, Roger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Oletha Williams.
Gary is survived by his wife, Pam Williams of the home; daughter, Christy Greenfield and Ray of Chandler, Oklahoma; son, Matt Williams of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jacob Greenfield and Rosanna, and Allie Hutton and Michael; sister, Kathy Spencer and Glen; brother, Roger Williams and Brenda; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
