Franklin Delano Blankenship, a resident of Midwest City passed away Friday, December 19th, 2025 in Harrah, Oklahoma at the age of 89. He was born February 14th, 1936 in Dogtown, Oklahoma to Arthur Alton Blankenship and Ida Bell (Berryhill) Blankenship. He married Ethel Marie Summers December 22, 1953 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
He served in the United States Air Force from which he retired as Technical Sergeant. He served as sheriff in Dustin and was a lifelong Mason. He is s a member of the Countryside Baptist Church in Newalla.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Alton Blankenship and Ida Bell Blankenship as well as sixteen brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Marie Blankenship of the home;
Daughters, Judy Smith & husband Steve of Choctaw; Donna Jean Blankenship of Miidwest City; four grandchildren, Jennifer Noyes, Jessica Costleigh, Franklin Smith, & Tracy Smith; five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; Also by a sister, Neva Blankenship of Henryetta as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Franklin will be 5-7 Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2025 at Dustin Cemetery. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
