Frank Robert Nelson, 57, long-time resident of Henryetta, OK, passed away Friday, July 11th, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Frank was born September 4, 1967, in Riverside, California, to LV Nelson and Margaret (Rivera) Nelson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Gary Warren, grandparents, Frank and Carlotta Rivera, Jewett and Emma Nelson, brother, Johnie Todd, sister, Marsha McCaa, nephews, Wesley Robert Nelson and Brandon Glen Jacobs, niece, Jennifer Amanda Nicole Nelson, as well as numerous uncles and aunts.
Frank loved God, his family, and friends. He would do whatever it took to protect all three. Frank worked for Okmulgee County. He had a passion for sports so great that he coached girls' softball, refereed football and basketball, and umpired baseball and softball in his free time. He had a passion for music and would often be seen at various events, and he would always make new friends. No one would ever dance alone if Frank was around; conversation always came easily for him. Frank will always be missed 100%, a favorite ending to every text.
Frank is survived by his three daughters, Chelsea Minyard and husband Cody Minyard, grandsons Reid Minyard and Rory Minyard, Megan Nelson, and Jadyn Nelson. His brother Jewett Nelson, and wife Lori of Checotah, sister Michelle Allen, niece Amanda Lynn Allen of Henryetta, sister Carrie Crayk, nephew Jared Jacobs, niece, Taylor Jacobs of Henryetta, and nephews Ryker and Sean McCaa of Troy, Texas, and Gunner Todd of Arkansas along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Those serving as Pallbearers: Sterling Pierce, Josh Been, Jason Herring, Robert Whitlock, John Langford, Scott Bevin and Honorary Pallbearers: Kim Brownfield and Jay Stalik.
Visitation is scheduled for 3:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, August 1st, 2025 at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 E. Trudgeon St., Henryetta, OK 74437
Funeral Service is scheduled for 1:00PM, Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at Dewar First Baptist Church.
