Earl Eugene Kinney

Earl Eugene Kinney, age 96, a resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma since 1993 passed away on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He lived in Stephenville, Texas for 13 years, plus lived in Henryetta, Oklahoma for 35 years. Earl was born on January 12, 1925, in Wellington, Texas. He was married to Lou Joe (Minyard)
Kinney for 32 years, and then married Jo Ann (Hummingbird) Kinney in 1981 until she
passed on January 12, 2018, happily married for 36 years. He was the loving father to
Barbara E. (Kinney) Metivier and the late Timothy E. Kinney, he loved his two
grandchildren Gary D. Files and Gregory S. Files, his five great grandchildren, Joshua
Thompson, Erika Files, Zachary Files, Brittani Files, and Ashton Cole Files, his five
great-great grandchildren Laila Isabelle Sofia Gibson, Abbie Elizabeth Rose Files, Macie
Kathleen Grace Ridley, Ashlynn Grace Thompson, and Kennedy Rose Thompson. Earl is
the son of the late John Cleveland Kinney and the late DeLila DeMeris (McClain) Kinney.
Earl passed from this life on May 20, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 96,
family of five generations.

Earl worked for Ellis Glazing Company and Henryetta Machinery and Lumber Company
for many years while he lived in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He also owned his own business
making storm windows, storm doors, and screens for local people and businesses. He also
worked at Higgin-Bottoms in Stephenville, Texas from 1981-1990. After retiring, he
worked from home as a handyman, repairing doors, windows, and screens. His passion
was attending garage sales, picking up items that he could repair and resale to people that
could not afford new items, which he provided a much-needed service.
Earl enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing pool, and Bingo. Earl and Jo loved to
travel to different countries, which included: Belize, Honduras, Yucatan, Cancun,
Mexico, Hawaii, and Jamaica. Their travels also included: California, Nevada, Colorado,
Missouri, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas. Earl was well.
liked by everyone who met him, he never met a stranger, which made his life interesting
and enjoyable. Earl lived a long life and helped many people along the way, giving of
himself and ensuring he gave people what they needed or could afford.
Besides his late wife Jo Ann Kinney, he leaves a daughter, Barbara E. (Kinney) Metivier of
Pensacola, Florida, a son, the late Timothy E. Kinney of Henryetta, Oklahoma; 3
stepdaughters, Dana Hall of Austin, Texas, Angela Francis of Henryetta, Oklahoma,
Alicia Boulanger of Lake Elsinore, California, a stepson, Jackie Francis and wife Jill of
Henryetta, Oklahoma, 3 brothers, the late Jake Kinney of Hico, Texas, the late Leonard
Kinney of Brownsville, Texas, the late Raymond Kinney of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; a sister, the lateNettie Carr of Stephenville, Texas; grandchildren, Azur Hall, Jarrod Hall,Monica Pape,the late Zachary Jones, Hunter Jones Raven Jones, Jace Francis; great-grandson Xander Pape many, nieces, nephews, extended family members and good
friends.

Viewing and visitation is scheduled for 2:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 and 8:00AM to 1:00PM Wednesday, May 26th at Integrity Chapel.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00PM Wednesday, May 26th at Integrity Chapel, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Interment to follow at Salem Cemetery, Salem Community
