Dustin Shane Byrnes Morris

July 18, 1979 — August 29, 2025

Dustin Shane Byrnes Morris, a beloved longtime resident of the Henryetta community, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Henryetta at the age of 46. He was born on July 18, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Tommy and Paula (Byrnes) Morris.

Known to many as Dusty, he graduated from Henryetta High School with the Class of 1998. Over the years, he worked in both the glass industry and on the pipeline. A man of many talents, Dusty especially enjoyed carpentry and working with his hands.

Dusty had a deep love for his family and took great pride in supporting his daughters-watching Skylar play softball and golf, and Kenzie cheer brought him immense joy. Alongside Tatum, he embarked on a unique adventure, raising 68 chickens in hopes of starting a chicken business. And Tatum loved going fishing with her Daddy at "their" pond. His love for life was expressed through simple joys-spending time with family, cooking, and mastering his barbecue.

An outdoorsman at heart, Dusty enjoyed golfing, boating, and the peaceful atmosphere of the lake. He had a passion for pickup trucks, motorcycles, team roping, rodeos, and hunting. A proud OU fan, he was always ready to cheer on his team.

Dusty was a member of Joy In Life Church, the Shriners, and the Masonic Lodge-organizations that reflect his community spirit and generous heart.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Wanda Byrnes, and his paternal grandmother, Lynnie Morris, his Uncle Burel Morris, Aunts Doris Richardson and Mary Geary, and cousin Chad Rakestraw.

Dusty is survived by his three daughters, Skylar Morris, Kenzie Morris, and Tatum Morris; his parents, Tommy and Paula Morris; and his sister, Karisa, brother-in-law Don and nephew Dax Sigler and loving girlfriend Meggin Padgett and family. He also leaves behind cousins who were like siblings: John Hunter, Lisa Harlan, and Tara Roberts; Aunts Christy with husband Jack Brock, Lynn with husband Tom Story and Virginia Rakestraw. Other cousins include April Sanders, Brooke Heskew, B.J. Morris, Wade Richardson, Donnie Geary, Delana Rakestraw, and Rhonda Shirrell and all their families. Included are dear friends who were like brothers: Richard Bolding, Roy Lollis and Jack Fisher and dear friend and Pastor James Page. And many other friends of Dusty and family.

Per his wishes, there will be no service.

Because Dusty was a big animal lover, in lieu of flowers, family requests donations to animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
