Dessie Leona Satawake, a longtime resident of Henryetta passed away August 4th, 2026 at her home in Henryetta she was 87 years of age. She was born October 8th, 1938 in Tiger Mountain, Oklahoma to Christopher Brower and Beatrice Hester Brower.

Dessie owned and operated the Sonic Drive-In in Henryetta for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Christopher Brower and Beatrice Hester Brower, a son Jimmie Dale Satawake, a daughter, Laura Lynn Lear, two sisters, Virginia Hensley and Sheryl Henley, her step-father, John Lewis, granddaughter Kelley Michelle Benton, great granddaughter Laura Roy, and a great grandson, Connor Shrinski.

She is survived by her husband Jimmie D. Satawake of the home; two daughters, Kathy Satawake & Patsy Benton; a son Bobby Satawake; two sisters, Pat Helms and husband Doug and Juanita Barnett; her grandchildren, Misty Ryan, Brandy Johnson, Brandon Benton, Leah Curtis, Stephen Benton, Eric Faddis and Matthew Faddis; Sixteen great-granchildren, nine great-great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Wally Brewster as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Wendell Brown officiating. Inurnment will be in New Sonora Cemetery. Services are under direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.

Following the services the family will host a gathering at The Briefcase at 313 W. Main Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
