Danny Monroe Demmitt, December 29th, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on February 24, 1958, in Talequah, Oklahoma, Danny's life was a tapestry of hard work, dedication to family, and a love for the great outdoors.
Growing up in the Hanna/Lenna area of Oklahoma, Danny developed a passion for sports during his formative years at Hannah High School where he played baseball and basketball before graduation.
Danny's professional life was largely devoted to the oilfields, where he worked with vigor and expertise as a driller and derrick hand. His career spanned decades, marking him as a stalwart in the industry, respected by peers for his skill and tenacity. In his later years, Danny transitioned to a lawncare business alongside his longtime companion and friend, Naomi King, where his handy, kind, and friendly nature helped build a business.
He was a man who thrived in the presence of nature and cherished any opportunity to engage in outdoor activities. Whether it was a quiet day fishing or a lively family gathering, Danny was happiest when surrounded by the open sky and the people he loved.
Danny's legacy is carried on by his children; Dana Demmitt of California, Christy Demmitt of Texas, Tristen Demmitt and his wife Misty of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and Jeffrey Demmitt of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his sister, June McGuire of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and his stepdaughters; Tiffany Withrow of Hoffman, Oklahoma, Tammy White of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Angela Fields of Morris, Oklahoma, and Tashina Gilley of Hoffman. Danny's jovial spirit will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren-Jordan, John, Ian, Whitley, Marcus, Kamden, Tawne'e, niece, Betty, nephew, Ray, great nephews; Jordan, Jacob, and Joseph, and a host of other relatives and dear friends who were touched by his warmth and generosity.
Danny's departure leaves a void in the lives of many, yet his memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who knew him. He was a beacon of friendship and kindness, his life a testament to the virtues of simplicity, hard work, and the enduring power of family ties. Danny Monroe Demmitt will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
