Christine Thelma (Curry Weaver) Harris

Christine Thelma (Curry Weaver) Harris, a cherished lifelong resident of Okmulgee, passed from this life on November 25, 2025, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. She was born on a winter Tuesday, January 21, 1941, in Okmulgee to Charles Harris and Ostennia (Johnson) Curry.

Christine was the heart and matriarch of her family, an anchor of love, wisdom, and grace. She delighted in baking and crafting, filling her home with warmth, creativity, and the sweet comforts of her kitchen. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. She embraced each opportunity to travel, always seeking new places, experiencing new memories, and new joys. Christine was a devoted member of the Greater Jones Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, where her presence and faith were deeply felt.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Bishop Ostennia Curry; her father, Rev. Charles Harris; her stepfather, Sgt. Clarence Curry; her husband, Vernon Weaver, Jr. and Hugh (Huey) Reed, as well as her only son, Micheal Ray Weaver, siblings: Dorothy Lee Curry, Clarence Curry, Jr., and Diane Curry; great nephews: Marvin Lee Walker and Kevin Curry.

Christine's legacy of love continues through her daughters: Juanita (Lorenzo) Weaver-Morgan of Okmulgee, Daria Weaver of Okmulgee, and Taria (Bryant) Demery of Okmulgee, each of whom carries forward her grace, strength, and devotion.

Christine's siblings who survive to cherish her memories: her sisters Julia Thompson, Janet (Ronald) Jackson, Marilyn (Virgil) Franklin, and Rutia Curry; her brothers Tyrone (Michele) Curry and Jerome (Mary) Curry, and Marlin Curry, all of whom shared in the tapestry of her life, love, and treasured memories.

Her cherished grandchildren include Bryant Demery, Brittany (Emeka) Nwankwo, Treyson Weaver, Dominique Morgan, Caryl Weaver, Quira Demery, Christopher Morgan, Ausha Demery, and Aaron (Abby) Morgan. She also leaves behind her treasured great-grandchildren: Jadé Demery, Jay'lah Morgan, Caelix Morgan, DeAun Weaver, Dorien Weaver, Jacoby Morgan, Da'Laija Weaver, Da'Loni Weaver, Melah Morgan, Cauri Morgan, Corvyn Morgan, and Coy Morgan, and a great nephew, Robert Curry, along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Christine's life was a tapestry of faith, devotion, creativity, and profound love, an exquisite legacy that will continue to shine brightly through all who knew her.

Viewing for Christine will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service. Celebration of Life for Christine will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., located at the Jubilee Christian Center in Okmulgee, 12430 N. 230 Road, Okmulgee, OK, Dale Litsey, Pastor. Officiated by Rev. Terry Howard, Sr., Interment will follow.
