Brenda Gail Montgomery, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, at the age of 68. She was born on May 28, 1957, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Marion "Sonny" Allison and Betty (Casey) Allison.
Brenda was a devoted, Spirit-filled Christian whose kind heart and joyful personality brought warmth and light to everyone she met. She loved to talk and laugh, often filling a room with her bright spirit and genuine care for others. She enjoyed camping, fishing, watching and feeding birds, and spending time with her family. A gifted writer and avid reader, Brenda found joy in poetry and storytelling. Known for her wonderful cooking and competitive nature, she proudly held the family title of "Wahoo Champion." In her younger days, she was proudly crowned the "cow-tipping queen," a memory that brought laughter to many. Brenda also had a deep appreciation for classic cars and could easily identify makes and models with impressive detail.
Throughout her life, Brenda was devoted to her work and her community. Early in her career, she served as Vice President of the First Family Federal Credit Union, where she also worked in Human Resources and Marketing for seven years before continuing her career as a teller at American Exchange Bank. Her creativity and professionalism left a lasting impression-she even designed the credit union's well-known tree logo. Outside of her professional life, Brenda was a proud and longtime member of the Lions Club, where she found great joy in serving others and building lifelong friendships.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Marion "Sonny" Allison, and her grandparents, Minnie and Bill Casey.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Montgomery of Henryetta; her children with her late husband, Tim McCarty-Lucas Wade McCarty and wife Montana of Salem, Oklahoma, and Lacy McCarty of Henryetta; four beloved grandchildren, Audra Gail McCarty, Lincoln McCarty, Gunner Zerilli, and Riggs Wayne McCarty; her mother, Betty Allison; her sister, Colleen Litsey and husband Dale; niece, Daleen Porter; nephew, Charlie Litsey; along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Viewing will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Suzie Stephens and Rev. Ryan Wells, officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Lucas McCarty, Lincoln McCarty, Gunner Zerilli, Charlie Litsey, Casey Litsey, and Dakoda Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carla Knight, Linda Segars, Daleen Porter, and Kim Moore.
