Billy Joe Dodge, a lifelong resident of Henryetta, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. He was born October 16, 1953, in Henryetta to Connie Dodge and Gladys Mae (Johnson) Dodge.
Billy was a graduate of Henryetta High School. He was known for his love of his horses and cattle. A dozer operator by trade, and in his younger years, he was an avid team roper, producer, and a passionate bull rider. His life was marked by hard work, horsemanship, and a deep connection to the western way of life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved nephews, Tuffy Deane William Longan and Jay Matthews; and his treasured horses, Monkey, Buck Buck, and Hellbitch.
Billy is survived by his son, Billy Joe Dodge II and wife Janette; daughter, Casie Dodge; grandsons, Cory Dodge and Tuff Henry Dodge; sisters, Sue Matthew and husband Jim, and Norma Artussee and husband Dan, all of Henryetta. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Cory Dodge, Tuff Dodge, Hadley Peoples, Hayden Peoples, Colton Thomason, and Quade Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers include Spanky Peoples, Marvin Shoulders, Don Frankenburger, Steve Story, Ronnie Moore, Wayne Pippin, Brett Wheeler, Brandon Wheeler, Skeeter Longan, Howard Edmondson, Dougie Johnson, and Andrew Stubbs.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, December 1, 2025, at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Brett Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at the Dodge Family Cemetery.
